“My hands and feet feel numb,” Jonathan told his wife in March 2019. Over the course of a week, his energy had been sapped, his legs felt weighted, his muscles tight, and he was growing weaker by the day. “I walked across a parking lot after an oil change. It should’ve taken me 30 seconds, but it took like five minutes,” he said. Two weeks later, this active father of three was paralyzed.
